Poker is a card game where players place bets in an effort to win the pot, which consists of all the bets placed by players in a hand. Usually the player with the highest poker hand wins, but it is also possible to win by bluffing.<\/p>\n

Every poker player has his or her own tell, and it is important to watch out for these so that you can catch other players bluffing.<\/p>\n
Most forms of poker are played with 6, 7, or 8 players. The dealer shuffles the cards, then deals them out to the players one at a time, beginning with the person on his or her left. Depending on the rules of the game, cards may be dealt face-up or face-down. After each round of betting, the cards are revealed and a winner is determined.
