Before the game begins, all the players agree on a value for chips. The dealer then exchanges cash from the players for these chips. During the betting intervals, each player’s cards are hidden from the other players. At the end of each betting round, a showdown takes place in which all the remaining players reveal their cards and evaluate their hands. The player with the highest-ranking hand wins the pot.
